It’s America’s birthday and fireworks are a tradition! If you’re in Fort Lauderdale for Independence Day, here’s a quick list of picnics, events, and of course, fireworks that can be enjoyed with the family, friends, or even solo:

  • Fireworks & Flurries. Head to LOOP Beach (Las Olas Oceanside Park) on the 3rd to enjoy a pop-up block party, farmers’ market, 4th of July, and Christmas in July celebrations - all rolled into one! This free, family-friendly fun day on the beach comes complete with a patriotic selfie station, yoga, lawn games, classic BBQ, and more.
  • 4th of July Spectacular. In the perfect follow-up to its Saturday celebrations, LOOP beach will be reserved for another free, family-friendly, all-day event headlined by a Beach Boys concert. The Independence Day special will also feature a patriotic concert, family zone with face painting and water slides, Walk of Fame ceremony, eating contests, and of course, lots of fireworks beginning at 9 pm.
  • Bonnet House’s July 4 Special. Those looking to spend a quieter day exploring nature trails can head to the Bonnet House Museum and Gardens. The museum has a special discount going for Independence Day, so you can spend some quality time strolling through its whimsical house and gardens.
  • BB&T Center, Sunrise Celebrations. They’ve got all you need for a proper celebration! BB&T’s 4th of July lineup includes a DJ, three live bands, a kids’ fun zone, plenty of food trucks, and a fireworks extravaganza.
  • Miramar’s Regional Park Celebrations. This free evening event ticks all the boxes for a DJ set, food trucks, kids’ zone, and fireworks show.
  • Weston’s 4th of July Parade. Those looking for a traditional parade should head out to Weston to join in their 25th-anniversary celebrations.
  • Hollywood Beach Celebrations. This annual event will feature an evening of musical performances at the Beach Theater and an offshore fireworks display.
  • Pompano Beach In-person + Virtual Fireworks. Mindful of the circumstances, visitors will have the option to enjoy the Pompano Beach musical and fireworks extravaganza in person or from the comfort of their homes.
